The main tasks of the Estonian Centre of Folk Culture are:
- participation in the process of shaping and implementing cultural policy at county, national and international level;
- contributing to the continuance and promotion of folk culture;
- valuing the intangible cultural heritage and supporting its viability;
- organisation of training courses in the field of folk culture and intangible cultural heritage.
